Invisible House
The modesty, clarity and resourcefulness of this project won Architect Peter Stutchbury the 2014 Australian House of the Year awarded by Architecture & Design. The Blue Mountains makes a spectacular back drop for this stunning home. Dinmark Constructions was the builder and Bakers Joinery supplied the windows and doors in Blackbutt.
The roof acts like a dam, creating a moat around the upper floor and assisting with thermal qualities. This house looks like it belongs in its bush setting and does not compete with its breathtaking environment.
